NORTH V SOUTH CHARITY MATCH 2025

The annual Zurgena BC North V South Charity match took place in early August and fancy dress and hawaiian shirts brightened up the morning as battle commenced. Seven trips rinks were played over 15 ends with each player changing position after 5 and 10 ends so they all played lead, second and skip. Skips had a powerplay each were double points could be earned and that worked very well for Mick Ryan, Colin Appleton and Mandy Harris as their 7 shots were doubled up to 14 in one end to ensure their win. Lots of laughs but still competitive, the victory this year went to the North who won 4 rinks and took the extra 2 points with a shot difference of 128 over 115.

 

Thank you to all the players for supporting this fun charity event (profits will go to the Zurgena Food Bank), the organisers, Tammy in the tea hut, Malcolm and Susie Darby on the plancha, the members who contributed food, cake and raffle prizes and to Carol Way for the raffle and ensuring we didn't run out of food or drink.
