FAB Winter League

For any new members who may wish to play competitive bowls, the FAB Winter Triples League 2024/25 commences on Wednesday 2nd October and runs until the end of March 2025.

 

Play days are every Wednesday, 10H start and there are 4 Triples per team per game and usually a reserve or two. Matches are played home and away so there will be some travelling required.

 

In recent years Zurgena BC have entered 2 teams in the league, the Spitfires and the Hurricanes. Last season, 2023/24 the Spitfires came second, losing out only on total points scored and the Hurricanes were comfortably just below mid table.

 

Due to a growing membership and more members wishing to play competitive bowls we have been able to enter a third team into the League for 2024/25. Our new team, the Mosquitos, skipped by Steve and Christina Marshall will play on a Wednesday afternoon at 14.00H and the team is made up of new and experienced bowlers. Team captain for the the Spitfires is Shootsie and Paul Day for the Hurricanes. We are looking forward to the battle ahead and a strong showing by all teams this year.
