FAB MIXED PAIRS WINNERS 2025

Wow, what a great finale to the FAB Mixed Pairs Open competition at Zurgena BC this afternoon with two Zurgena teams going head to head for the title. Paul Day & Judy Abel and Maureen Hanratty & Shootsie served up a tantalising encounter and with no pair able to stretch out a lead it was nip and tuck all the way. Going into the last end Maureen and Shootsie were 1 up and holding 1 shot when Judy Abel delivered her last bowl. The crowd gasped as she trailed the jack but her bowl failed to stay with it and the shot went to the winners, Maureen and Shootsie, by a matter of inches. The final score was 16-14. Thank you to the 72 players who entered the tournament, the umpires, the volunteers from Zurgena BC for keeping everyone fed and watered and to Ruth Compton, FAB Delgado for presenting the trophies. Well done Zurgena.
